The exhibition project `PASSAGES/IN-BETWEEN`, organized by artists Cora von Zezschwitz and Tilman offers a voyage visiting various points of departure of creative though-process as it
manifests itself in an singular art object.

Albeit a singular work of art is only a snippet of a creative process in motion it can be viewed as a voyage into the artists realm where the multitude of trajectories regarding an individual thought-process culminates in a visual manifestation. Although the various trains of thought can not necessarily immediately be traced, read or grasped as a hole by looking at a single work, the artist aspires to make the invisible visible.
Yet in its mere appearance the work allows for the viewer to participate in a visual passage and to immerse into the flow of events happening and to open up to a world of thoughts. The comprehension of this multilateral process inspires to explore and to investigate the trajectories of involved thought process and its distinctive properties
This `place or space` where this exchange of mental and visual information merges can be called an `in-between`- space; a place or space of ephemeral quality yet carrying all the weight of a personal journey.
This `in-between `space is not a hermetic entity, it is a immaterial space in which thoughts and impression can freely float.
Each object presented in this exhibition can be seen or explored in it itself as a passage through or an excursion into artistic thought process and not only states solely a momentary `inventory `of a personal journey but stands for a world of thought and intimate investigation as well as a shared perception of our world.
A walk through the exhibition suggests the idea of a passage – as an architectural feature as well as a physical movement or a mental motion. The individual artworks on display present nothing else than a passage Itself yet are part of an infinite journey.
In case of this presentation, the distance between the mounted works can be understood as a visual `in-between`. space, a space which rather unites than separates the various artistic approaches presented. This `free` space echoes the duality of presented visual information and one`s personal perception of the events offered. This space can be understood as the space where the visible meets the invisible, where thoughts are transferred from one `passage `to another
This `in-between` space invites the viewer to breathe and to connect the aspirations of each artistic voyage as well as to explore the various ramifications interrelating these individual universes or approaches to define or redefine our visual perception of the world around us
Le projet d’exposition “PASSAGES/IN-BETWEEN”, organisé par les artistes Cora von Zezschwitz et Tilman propose un voyage en visitant divers points de départ d’un processus de pensée créative tel qu’il se manifeste dans un objet d’art singulier.

Quoi qu’une œuvre d’art singulière ne soit qu’une bribe du processus créatif en action, elle peut être vue comme un voyage dans le royaume des artistes où la multitude de trajectoires concernant un mécanisme de pensée individuel culmine en une manifestation visuelle. Bien que les différents chemins de pensées ne puissent pas immédiatement être tracés, lus ou appréhendés dans leur ensemble en regardant une seule œuvre, l’artiste aspire à rendre l’invisible visible.
Cependant, dans sa simple apparence, le travail permet au spectateur de participer à un passage visuel et de s’immerger dans un courant d’événements ayant lieu et de s’ouvrir à un monde de pensées. La compréhension de ce processus multilatéral inspire pour explorer et enquêter sur les trajectoires du processus de pensée concerné et ses propriétés distinctes.
Cet “endroit ou espace” où cet échange d’informations mentales et visuelles se mêlent peut être appelé un espace “entre-deux”, un endroit ou un espace de qualité éphémère qui cependant porte tout le poids d’un voyage personnel.
Cet espace ” entre-deux ” n’est pas une entité hermétique, il s’agit d’un espace immatériel dans lequel les pensées et les impressions peuvent flotter librement.
Chaque objet présenté dans cette exposition peut être vu ou exploré par lui-même comme un passage par ou une excursion dans le processus de la pensée artistique et déclare non seulement un “inventaire” momentané d’un voyage personnel mais représente un monde de pensée et d’investigation intime ainsi qu’une perception partagée de notre monde.
Une déambulation dans l’exposition suggère l’idée d’un passage – comme un trait architectural ainsi qu’un mouvement physique ou un mouvement mental. Individuellement, les œuvres ne représentent rien d’autre d’un passage.
Dans ce cas, la distance entre les pièces assemblées peut être comprise comme un “entre-deux” visuel, un espace qui unit plus que ne sépare les différentes approches artistiques présentées. Cet espace “libre” rappelle la dualité de l’information visuelle présentée et la perception personnelle des événements offerts. Cet espace peut être compris comme l’endroit où le visible rencontre l’invisible, où les pensées sont transférées d’un “passage” à un autre.
Cet espace “entre-deux” invite le spectateur à respirer et à connecter les aspirations de chaque voyage artistique ainsi qu’à explorer les différentes ramifications en corrélation avec ces univers individuels ou approches pour définir ou redéfinir notre perception visuelle du monde autour de nous.
